Egypt

During class today we went over Hammurabi's Code and read on Egypt. Hammurabi had an extremely violent code of laws which included punishments such as cutting both hands off for marking a slave incorrectly and burying a man in his own house. In Egypt the people had to settle along the Nile River in order to grow their crops. They had also divided themselves in to two kingdoms known as Upper and Lower Egypt. This was the case until Narmer had conquered the Upper Kingdom and forged a single Egypt.
